We live in a world that is increasingly without hope. The pursuit of material things, recognition and comfort all fail to produce the joy we desire to have. In our fallen condition, we are all people without hope.
As a group of people gathering for a purpose, our hope is completely based on the cross-work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is our hope and that hope produces confidence and joy in our present life and our future eternity with Him.
In his letter to the Colossian church, Paul writes “When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:4).
Through His atoning death on the cross, Jesus provides us life and that life enables us to live beyond the hopelessness of this life.
