Pastor Daniel trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 6 in his Sunday school class. Several years later while attending a mission’s conference, he surrendered his life to full time Christian service. Pastor Daniel has a strong desire to work with young people, especially because this was such a formative time in his spiritual life. In 2003 Pastor Daniel had a wonderful year as he graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a B.A. in Youth Ministries, took his first youth ministries position at Laingsburg First Baptist Church, and then married his wife Joy in August. The Lord called Pastor Daniel and Joy in 2005 to be missionaries to the Limpopo Valley of Southern Africa. On New Years’ Eve 2006, Pastor Daniel was attacked by a 17 foot crocodile while on a survey expedition in Mozambique. After months of recovery and through this trial, Pastor Daniel was able to learn a lot about God’s control over all things, and he praises God that He worked it all for good. In April of 2010 Pastor Daniel earned his Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary. After returning to the United States in May 2010 Pastor Daniel began as Youth Pastor here at Bethel Baptist Church. Pastor Daniel and Joy Minton have two daughters, Abigail, born in 2005 and Katherine, born in 2007.
