Thursday Evangelism And Ministry
We have many people who are committed to invest one Thursday night each month to our T.E.A.M. outreach ministry. It is all about being obedient in fulfilling “The Great Commission” of our Savior and Lord. (Matthew 28: 19,20) They do it through one of the following ways:
Write Letters: People write letters to the new residents of Schaumburg and the surrounding communities, people thinking about moving to Schaumburg, and people who are in need of encouragement.
Phone Callers: People make phone calls to absentees and to those who have visited our church in the past to answer questions or to offer encouragement.
Home Visits: People make home visits to those who have recently moved to the area or who have visited our church. We put a priority on putting a personal touch on those who have been gracious enough to visit us.
Canvassing: We provide maps for those who would like to go door to door canvassing. This ministry opportunity is open to the whole family.
The Good News about T.E.A.M. is that we have a place for you to serve and help further the cause of Christ! Meet us in the lobby of the church on a Thursday evening at 7PM or on Saturday morning at 9:30AM.
For more information on T.E.A.M. please contact Pastor Mike Stalnaker at 847-885-3230 ext. 3029.
NETCASTER’S MINISTRY
In Mark 1.17 Jesus said, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” Those words have inspired Christians down through the ages to be aggressively involved in Great Commission work. Are you BECOMING a fisher of men? I doubt that any of us ever feel that we have “arrived” in this realm. I know that I haven’t. But I also know that I really want to become a fisher of men. Does your heart beat with mine?
To be a Netcaster will be to sharply focus on bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ by learning to purposefully and effectively present the gospel to all kinds of people in all kinds of places.
Throughout the months of February and March, members of Bethel Baptist Church will be challenged to make a specific commitment to personal soul-winning. The “Netcasters” will meet in the lobby of the church every Thursday evening at 7:00 and every Saturday morning at 9:30 for a brief time of instruction and then going out for the express purpose of witnessing to people in this community.
During the month of March we will be endeavoring to “couple-up” soul-winners for the months of April, May, and June. You can sign up at the Information Desk or through your Adult Sunday School class as a two-some - or you can let us assign you a partner. We hope to have everyone paired up for the April 8 kick-off “Netcaster Breakfast” at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Center.
Every member and friend of Bethel is urged to pray about BECOMING a Netcaster.
