Christ-centered Child Training – Pastor Wetterlund Room 204-206
What is the goal of parenting? How can you use the Scriptures to train your children? What can you do if you have failed previously in your role of training your children? It is critical for each one of us, as parents and grandparents, to accurately understand the clear teaching of the Scriptures about child-training. God has given us all that we need to competently train our children, but do we understand it and are we actively practicing it? We will be looking at very practical methods for training children to love, to know and to live for Christ. God can give us grace to lead our homes to greater Christ-likeness and this will be our goal.
Old Testament Survey I – David Gower Room 205
Part I of Survey of the Old Testament provides a comprehensive overview of Genesis through Esther, examining the pattern, unity, and progression of Old Testament history. This section of God’s Word covers the entire time-line or story-line of the Old Testament, providing the setting for other OT books and the foundation for NT events and doctrine.
The Gospel of Mark – Pastor Doiel Room 202
Mark, the shortest, oldest and simplest of the four Gospels, gives a crisp and fast-moving account of the life of Christ. It relates especially to men and women on the go. This gospel gives us a picture of Jesus as the Servant, always on the move, always doing the Fathers’ will and serving others. He did not come to be ministered unto, but to minister and give his life a ransom for many. The Gospel of Mark can bring profound servanthood and active power to our lives. It is the Gospel of miracles, the Gospel of power, the Gospel of service. We will be studying the Gospel of Mark chapters eight through sixteen.
The Names of God (Ladies) - Pastors’ Wives Room 207
Each of God's names applies to us as women in a special and unique way. Have you desired to know God better? Understanding the watchful eye of El Roi, the provision of Jehovah-jireh, and the power of Elohim will draw you closer to your Adonai (Master). The teaching will encourage you to grow in your love for God and your knowledge of Him.
Understanding Your Sanctification - Pastor Cook Room 203
The Discipline of Grace - Jerry Bridges
The Bible teaches that as believers in Christ we are to be both walking as Christ walked and actively seeking to purify ourselves as Christ is pure. This purification is accomplished through the work of the Holy Spirit using God’s Word and our cooperation. The process is called Sanctification. Yet, do you understand what your role is in your sanctification? Where does the work of God end and your effort begin? We will be learning the biblically taught balance between our effort and God’s in our sanctification.
