Pastor Mark and Jan came to BBC in January 1995 with three daughters. Now Mark and Jan have two Deaf sons-in-law and 5 grandchildren. Before coming to BBC, Mark and Jan lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, where they learned sign language and began a deaf ministry. They also worked at the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind. Mark is the vice Chairman of Deaf Baptist Fellowship of America (DBFA). Bethel Baptist hosted the DBFA conference in 2001, and will host it again in 2011. Jan assists the Deaf Ministry in many ways - music, women's ministry, drama, & food. She also teaches sign language and interpreting classes at Harper College.
